Rhinoceros netsukeby *Shivha

Have long wanted to carve a rhino - I really like the image - it is a strong, powerful but prety elegant and delicate animal.
Hard work, about 12 hours of carving.
Walrus tusk, L59 mm, H25 mm.
There's some polish paste noticeable on the photos, but I'm too tired now to re-take pictures. (The naughty paste is always pops up in macro, not visible with unaided sight).

I just have to think of the recent National Geographic article about rhinos. "Rhino Wars" was the title of the article, pretty fascinating what they are doing to keep such a groovey critter around.
Very nice work, I think you captured the essence of rhino very well.
